Mom's Visit!

Mom/Grandma Gibson came to visit us on the 17th! It was so fun and such a great relief for me! Jackson warmed up to her almost immediately and I promise... the entire time she was here, he was 10x more hyper than usual! It was crazy. He absolutely loved her! It was great to have someone entertain Jackson with all the attention that I now have to give Jacob! The week passed way too quickly! Here are some of the things we did... We went to Mongolian BBQ the first night she was here... yummy! We spent a whole day looking for supplies for our art projects that we did while she was here... I will post pictures of those when I finish them. We ended up waiting until the last day she was here to actually do the projects. We took her to Taco Cabana so she could enjoy some San Antonio memories :) She came to speech therapy with us twice and she helped with Jacob while Jackson had his first dentist appt (which he did so well with! He has perfect teeth, the dentist said!). We spent a lot of time playing, well most of the time it was Mom playing while I fed Jake! We had a movie night, we watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. It was hilarious and I think everyone should see it! We all cracked up during a few parts! Then we watched Monsters vs Aliens, but Mom couldn't stay up for that one. On Sunday night we had dinner at Silvia and Lew's house. She made Pozole for Mom. It was so good and definitely not as spicy as the first one she made for me while Luis and I were dating! :) Luis took her on a tour to see all the houses the business owns and to tell her about some of the deals he's done. Some are occupied so she couldn't go inside, but she did get to go inside 2 of the biggest houses he has. She came with me to a Heritage Makers breakfast at IHOP and learned a little about the company I am working for... not really working for them, but just joined as a "hobbiest" for all the discounts. I'm sure I am forgetting a lot, but we just had so much fun! I took her to the airport at 4am on Wed morning... I cried all the way home and then some more when I got here. It was so hard to let her go home! I wish I could have kept her here for a lot longer, but I know Dave and Ethan need her... I hear they were going hungry without her there to take care of them :) Dave and Eth, we wish you guys could have come and spent time with us too! Here are some cute pictures from the week.

We realized on Mom's very last night that we hadn't taken any pictures of her with us... only her and the boys! So this is our attempt at 10pm to make up for that. Not the best, but good enough!

Mom bought Jacob a mobile. He follows the animals but I don't think he likes certain songs it plays. Jackson loves to look over the edge of the crib and watch his brother!

This is Mom's first quilt ever! She made it for Jacob!

It was so fun seeing Jackson and Grandma play!

We love you, Mom! We all miss you!

One Month Old

Jacob is one month old! The time passed so fast! It doesn't seem like that long! I weighed him today- 11 lbs 4 oz. He's gained 3 lbs since birth!

Grandma Gibson is coming!

Mom is finally coming! I was so happy I cried when I saw the airplane confirmation she emailed me! So, Jackson and I made a countdown chain until she comes... on February 17th. Jackson got a big kick out of wrapping the chain around his body. We had to straighten out a few links that he crushed... but it is still a pretty good looking chain :)

This is an older picture but I wanted to show how much Jackson likes to exercise like Daddy. Daddy was nice and let him use the pull-up bar. When Luis is working out with his P90X dvds, Jackson will stand off to the side and copy his movements. I am going to try and get it on video soon... he even knows how to use the push-up bars! It's adorable.

Lastly, this is how I find Jackson in the mornings every once in a while.
