"Get out of my car!"

Luis and the boys now have a routine when getting out of the car. I don't know how or when it started, but it's stuck. He opens the car door and says in silly-serious voice, "get out of my car!" They love it and think Daddy is just really funny. Well, last night Jake fell asleep on the way home from taking Matt to the airport. Luis tried waking him up by saying get out of my car over and over and Jake was so out of it. Didn't flinch at all... not even when Luis moved him around. I finally ran in and got the camera because it was so funny! Keep in mind Luis had been talking to Jake and messing with him for about 2 minutes before I got the camera... not a wink out of Jake! Too cute.

Jacob's backpack

This used to be Jackson's backpack. Jacob has inherited it. He is having a really hard time accepting that Jackson gets to go to school and he doesn't. He is very sad about it. He has been wearing this backpack all day, pretty much every day. I keep reminding him of all the fun things he gets to do at home with Mommy while Jackson is at school. It doesn't seem to help. Oh well, he will get his turn. Jackson starts school on August 13. I can't believe it's so close! How exciting! He can't wait.

Random Activities

We found these little wooden masks at Joann's for $1. The boys had fun painting them. I was so impressed with how well Jackson was painting inside the lines.

Grandma Weger bought us another water gun so now each boy has one. She even bought Daddy a big water gun, which the boys are very jealous of... but I don't have pictures of him playing. Oh, and Jake chose his own outfit, just FYI.

 

 

I just had to take a picture. I am the worst at Scrabble. I don't think I have ever won... especially against Luis. So... of course I had to share! I totally beat him and Silvia! I was shocked :)

Spoiled

My pots and pans are 7 years old and don't lay flat on the burner. Silvia bought me PURPLE pans!!! Thank you! They are so fun! We broke them in making Tinga! YUM!!!

St Louis Science Center

Sorry I'm too lazy to save and turn the sideways pictures! We went to the Science center last week. It was fun. We picked up Luis from work and went on their late night. Unfortunately the kids room wasn't open so we will have to go back, but they had fun with everything else. Jake was scared of the life size T-rex that moves and makes sound. :)

4th of July

A little late... I know. We went to get Matt around 1 on the 4th. It was a fun day. Sprinklers, big dinner, sparklers and poppers... the Matt, Luis and I stayed up and watched "Independence Day" because I had never seen it. Good day. Lots of fun. Matt stayed over night and we dropped him in his area the next day.

At one point I told Matt to pick up Jax and throw him through the sprinklers... thinking he would land on his feet. He didn't. He landed flat on his back! Ha, bad mommy moment!

Jake was a little hesitant to go through the sprinklers... only went with Matt.

Notice his long hair? Before... I gave him a haircut after this...
