Shorts

Remember how Kaylee has been posting about the boys wearing eachother's shorts? Well, at church Jax had an accident and all I had were clean underpants... no pants. Why would I have one and not the other? I have no idea. So, I decided to keep him out in the foyer so that his elmo underpants weren't a distraction in nursery... Then I realized Jake was wearing shorts over his onsie... so I put them on Jax and they fit! Total fix! They were a little short, but much better than having him run around in his underpants

New York Cheesecake Success!

I had a really cute video to post but I tried posting it and realized it was 170 MB and wouldn't post! (Obviously) I didn't adjust any of the settings on the camera before I recorded and it was preset a HUGE size. So, I have fixed that, but I don't know if I will be able to resize the video I wanted to share... Maybe Luis can figure that out.

I made a cheesecake and it turned out gorgeous! I promised Dad I would put pictures on the blog, so he can be extra proud! Here is proof! Isn't it gorgeous? AND IT WAS SO DELICIOUS!

Right out of the oven

Ready to Eat!

It is such an easy recipe too! It looks hard because it has so much detail, but that's what makes it so easy! There is no room to mess up! Here is the recipe:

Great Deal

I got level 3 baby food for 10-16 cents per jar at HEB! That saves about 50 cents and some of it was the organic brand which saved about 70 cents per jar! Silvia spotted a bunch of baby food on the clearance rack in the back of the store. Some of them expire this month but some of them expire in 2012! We bought all of them! I got tons! What a great deal! If you have a baby... make sure you check the clearance rack when you go to the grocery store. I tend to forget they have one!

Jake is just too cute!

Here are some pictures of Jake... as you can see, he wasn't very happy the first time he tried his walker. Now he loves it and is such a pro!

Other news... Just got a wisdom tooth pulled. The recovery is a piece of cake compared to the unbearable pain I was experiencing the past few days. It was so bad I couldn't sleep! The would wake me up at night and I would lie there wanting someone to knock me out and put me out of my misery! The dentist said it was one of the easiest teeth he ever pulled! Just ready to come out and in the perfect position. It was huge though... he showed me! I can't believe that was under my gum! I completely know how babies feel! No wonder they get fussy when they are teething... I have been a mean momma lately. Poor boys of mine, but now that the pain is gone (or will be gone once the wound heals) I should be back to my normal self (normal = not grouchy until 11pm rolls around, instead of 24/7 like lately).

Sharing and Milestones

We have really been working with Jackson to try and get him used to sharing with Jacob and other kids. He has struggled but I think he's getting udes to it. Jackson had been driving me crazy lately with all his begging for candy. So the other day I gave him a Twizzler and told him to go sit down and eat it while he watched a movie. A little while later I walked into the living room and saw Jackson sitting on the couch watching the movie... and Jacob was sitting on the floor sucking on the Twizzler. It was so funny that of all things Jackson decided to share with Jacob, it was candy... his favorite thing ever... and I didn't even tell him to! Jacob was so mad when I took it away from him! His first taste of candy at 7 months, thanks to his generous big brother :)

Jacob is pulling himself up to a standing position and even "cruising" (walking along something, like a couch, while holding on). He is only 7 months, so it is way early and it's very scary because he isn't stable and falls very easily. He still can't support himself and he has fallen several times and hit his poor head on the floor. I let him do it when I am around to catch him so he gets the practice and will gain strength in his legs, but it freaks me out when I find him standing up in his crib or next to the couch or toy box! I just can't believe how young he is and he is already trying to walk.

My Military Man

We cut Jake's hair again! It just grows soooo fast! Here are some before and after shots! I love it! Once I saw the finished cut, I had to put him in the camo outfit Mom and Dave bought for Jackson way back when! Even his facial expressions are military... right?

Pictures

Finally! I read the manual and figured out that when connecting the camera to the computer to transfer pictures... the camera needs to be turned on! I was wondering why it wasn't working :) So, here are some pictures. Just random ones of the boys and family.

We had a fun week! Liz and Alan were visiting from Chicago. Luis' sister, Linda, decided to go by her middle name so of course, I am working hard to use the name she wants... I totally understand her choice :) While they were here she took some great pictures of the boys with her awesome photography skills! I will share those with you when I get copies, she is going to do some editing. Jackson had a blast with them! Luis had a pretty busy week with work and didn't get to spend as much time with them as he would've liked, but we all got to hang out a lot. Even Lew took some time off work. I love it when we get to spend time with them... so, any of my sisters wanna come for a visit?

The day we got the camera, I found Jackson in the dining room taking pictures! I didn't even know he could turn it on! I freaked and could just see my brand new camera being smashed on the floor! But I caught him in time, but not before he took several pictures like this one. Kinda cute.
